CRADLE OF THE RENAISSANCE FLORENCE, FAMOUS ALL OVER THE WORLD

Florence experienced the period of greatest splendor during the Medici dynasty and made a huge contribution to the development of the Renaissance (For this reason it is defined as the "cradle of the Renaissance").

The historic center was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982.

Florentine cuisine is known all over the world thanks to some dishes that have also become the symbol of the city, such as steak, pappa al pomodoro or ribollita.
